Recently I was asked by one of my best friends to design the stationary for her Barbie Garden themed hens party. She asked me to design a menu as well as place cards for the seating and wanted the design to aesthetically match the theme as well as portray luxury and playfulness.
I spent quite a lot of time finding the perfect typeface to align with the characteristics of Barbie. In addition to this, it was imperative to find a simple, clean typeface for the body copy that contrasted nicely and didn't detract from the bold title.
Seeing as the hens party was held in the gardens of a $60M property during Sydney's spring time, she wanted something luxurious to match this atmosphere, hence the baby pink and organic curves used for the imagery and decorative elements.
